Horses and Humans have had a long-standing connection that has carried us through times of evolution, war, technology, living and basic survival. The horse has also been a constant source of inspiration, forgiveness, and peace.
As highly sensitive beings they often challenge our self-esteem, our knowledge, and our fears. The most interesting aspect about horses besides their physical beauty is that they are always congruent. Their actions are consistent with their inner state. They are always authentic but the question is, are we?
Throughout history, women were taught to take what comes, be a nice girl, become a nurse, a secretary, a teacher, or get married and raise a family. If the woman happened to marry a jerk, well, that was “her lot in life” and many women suffered because they thought they had to subject themselves to ill-treatment and be the “good wife”.
Long ago and unfortunately, still today, people laugh and joke about women for being too emotional and/or treat them as second-class citizens because some men believe women were/are not smart like men were.
I still can’t believe, that in the 1970s my mom wasn’t allowed to have her own…
