Looking Within Ourselves
My pen flies across the paper,
words, thoughts, and ideas align themselves in perfect descriptive order.
Crafting stories, lines of meaning,
words of wisdom for all to see,
These words aren’t just for you; they’re also for me.
What rises to the surface are deep roots of Love and Gratitude.
While the deepest roots,
those that will not let go,
are of misunderstandings, confusion, and thoughts I’d rather not endow.
Healing must occur,
from the depths of myself, I implore.
no one enjoys hurt or pain,
but if we allow ourselves to embrace them we have so much to gain.
Confidence.
Passion.
Enthusiasm.
Love.
There’s no end to what we can accomplish,
when we believe in ourselves,
then we’ll fly upwards
out of the dark mire,
higher and higher up above,
flying, flying,
like a gentle white dove.
