Due to some health issues, I took a break from writing but I’m back now with the second part of my story, Feathers in the Wind. Leaving Home is Part II, I hope you enjoy it. If you’re not familiar with it read Part I and catch up. Thank you!

Leaving Home, Part II

The Elders of her tribe remembered when the stars sang to them at night and told the people stories from long ago. They shimmered in the night sky. The moon, as if hung by an invisible thread, glowed amongst them like a rare jewel.

During the day, the sun readily gives heat to the people and warmth and it allowed the people to hunt, grow, and thrive. The people woke up with the sun to greet them each morning and went to sleep lulled into the dream time by the comforting presence of the moon.
