A Shout Out to Folks on Medium
And a Big Thank You
Where I live, it's 5 am so I'm going to say a big Good Morning to you.
All my life, I've enjoyed writing. I've written two children's books, just finished a YA book, and I love writing short stories. When I was younger, a few moons ago, I wrote to escape my reality. I needed to, and I found out it was something I enjoyed. Writing is in my blood.
Eight months ago, I stumbled across Vocal Media for Writers. I found a lovely supportive group of people there who have encouraged me through my engagement with them and the Vocal platform to dive deep into writing again. The people on Vocal pulled me out from underneath my rock.
Decisions
While on Vocal, the writing bug, which was always there, bit me so hard, I decided to make some big decisions in my life so I could pursue my love of writing, finish my YA book I’d worked on for three years and pursue what I loved to do.
Then I discovered Medium
I’ve written on Medium for two months. Between Vocal and Medium, I can’t describe how much I’ve enjoyed both. There are so many amazingly talented writers out there. I’m not sure if I’m up to par with them but I’ll tell you this much, I’m working on it.
